Finished Cabinet Sides, Colour Variations and Grain Matching
Wood is a natural product. As such there can be variations from tree to tree and finished panel to panel. These natural variations are not considered defects, but marks of authenticity. Each substrate can accept finishes differently. Consequently slight variation in colour and texture should be expected from different batches/orders. While we strive for consistency we do not guarantee exact matches between components and/or different orders including warranty and replacement work.
Custom grain matching (laying out components so grain runs continuously across all panels) is not available and is not guaranteed under any circumstance.
Unless specified in our dealer level catalogue, all cabinet sides (including tops and bottoms) are unfinished and may have exposed fasteners. Additional panels must be purchased to cover sides and complete the installation. When ordering from the dealer catalogue note that the interior finish of integrated finished ends will match the selected exterior finish not the interior of the cabinet box.
What's Included in Your Order?
Your cabinets ship flat packed and in certain cases, fully assembled. They include all required hinges, hinge plates, drawer guides, shelf pins, door bumpers etc. Please note we do not drill for handles. Drilling and installation are required on site.
All screws or hardware required for cabinet assembly are included. However, we do not include screws for installation (i.e. mounting cabinets to walls) or final drawer front securing screws.
Installation screw cover caps, extra edgebanding (unglued), and additional sheet materials are all available as separate items in our catalogue and should be ordered on an as needed basis.
Placing Your Order
Orders must be placed through our online web portal. No written, fax, Email or phone orders are accepted.
Once an order is submitted, SnapKit Cabinets will send back a final order list for your approval. It is the dealer’s responsibility to review and approve this list in a timely manner (2 business days), authorizing SnapKit Cabinets to proceed with fabrication.
Orders must be approved in their entirety and any changes must be reflected in the final order list prior to approval.
Payment
A 50% payment is due once the order is submitted. The balance will be due before the order leaves the factory. Once orders are approved, there are no refunds and all sales are final. As this is a custom made cabinet product line, components cannot be recycled, reused or resold to other customers once production starts.
Production Lead Time
An estimated ship date will be given when the order is sent back for confirmation.
Production lead times vary from week to week. All lead times given are “estimates” and never guaranteed under any circumstances. Current estimated lead times are available on our website.
Shipping and transportation times are not included in production lead time.
Changes to Orders
Orders can be changed/modified within 48 hours from the time of initial submission. Changes can only be submitted by emailing support@snapkitcabinets.com. Changes will require a resubmittal of the final order list and must be approved to complete the change order. The original estimated lead time may also be adjusted in accordance with the date of resubmittal.
Once the order is approved (i.e. the dealer has authorised us to proceed with fabrication), the order cannot be changed, modified, cancelled, batched or added to in any way. This includes combining new orders with orders in production. Dealers are responsible for making their customers aware of the changes to orders policy.
Cancellation
Orders can be cancelled 48 hours from the time of initial submission only. As this is a custom made product, confirmed orders (i.e. signed off by the dealer) cannot be cancelled or modified as we cannot resell/reuse the product for other customers. Dealers are responsible for making their customers aware of this cancellation policy.
Return & Refund Policy
The products are unique to each order and as such they cannot be restocked or re-sold to another customer. As such, SnapKit Cabinets does not accept returns on products under any circumstance. Refunds are not available.
Back Orders & Substitutions - Hardware/Materials
Due to industry-wide hardware and material shortages, substitutions in hardware/material may be made without notice of similar or better quality replacements.
Some orders may ship incomplete. Back orders will be shipped as soon as the item(s) are available to us. SnapKit Cabinets is not responsible for costs/delays associated with back-ordered products.
Storage and Handling
Wood is a natural product and can be highly susceptible to changes in moisture and temperature. SnapKit Cabinet’s product line is constructed exclusively for interior applications and should never be stored outside. It is the dealer’s and their customer’s responsibility to protect the order from damage (heat, cold, moisture, blunt force trauma etc).
Interior storage must be climate controlled within a temperature range of 5 degrees and 15% humidity maximum variance. See chart below for optimal conditions. Storage of the product for any period of time outside this range will void the manufacturer's warranty.

Please note that palletized cabinets, while wrapped in plastic, are NOT waterproof and should be brought indoors immediately.
Storage and Handling
Contents of the order should be fully unwrapped and checked immediately against the provided packing slip. Any discrepancies and/or manufacturing defects must be reported within 72 hours of delivery along with supporting documentation (Photos, cabinet ID Numbers, Job references) to info@snapkitcabinets.com Shipments are considered fulfilled as ordered and any replacement requests received after 72 hours will be considered a new order.

must be reported within 24 hours of delivery along with supporting documentation (Photos, cabinet ID Numbers, Job references) to info@snapkitcabinets.com
IMPORTANT: DO NOT SIGN PACKING SLIP UNLESS DAMAGE IS NOTED.
Shipments are considered fulfilled as ordered and any replacement requests received after 72 hours will be considered a new order. A replacement order must be placed by the dealer through the web portal. In the event of any damage during transportation, do not refuse the shipment. SnapKit will not accept any returned orders for any reason.
Pricing Changes
We may update our pricing from time to time. While we aim to provide as much notice as possible, we reserve the right to change prices without notice. All previously quoted potential orders will not be subject to any posted price increase for 30 calendar days. If an order is placed from a quote that has passed the 30 days, the increased price will be applied to the order.
Customization
If an item in the catalogue doesn’t meet your requirements, we would be happy to customize it for you. Write what you would like in the comments section and we will update the confirmation drawings accordingly. Note that the pricing will be adjusted after the initial order submittal in these situations. The cost varies on the requirements of the specific modification (time and materials) plus a $50 processing fee per custom item, i.e. adding a custom shelf to a cabinet might be $120 in materials and labour. So the added cost would be $120 + $50 =$170.
Warranty
SNAPKIT CABINETS MUST BE NOTIFIED OF ANY WARRANTY CLAIMS WITHIN A MAXIMUM OF 7 DAYS FROM OCCURRENCE; FAILURE TO DO SO WILL VOID WARRANTY.
Limited Lifetime Warranty (Hardware)
SnapKit Cabinets warrants its lift systems, hinges and/or drawer runners, contained in this product, against defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the home where it was originally installed. SnapKit Cabinets will send the dealer or original consumer purchaser, without charge, new hardware to replace any defective hardware subject to this warranty. This warranty is a warranty of replacement only. All costs associated with removal/replacement of components/disposal are not included.
SnapKit Cabinets specifically does not warrant removal of the defective hardware nor installation of the new hardware. This warranty does not cover hardware which has been incorrectly installed, exposed to excessive loads or otherwise used in any manner contrary to its intended purpose. In the event the defective hardware is obsolete or has been discontinued, SnapKit Cabinets reserves the right to replace the defective hardware with a current offering. No guarantee of interchangeability is offered. Weight capacity for the drawer system offered by SnapKit Cabinets is a maximum of 40KG dynamic load and/or a maximum width of 36”. All accessories carry a one year warranty from the original product manufacturer, not SnapKit Cabinets. Installation fees are not included.
5 Year Limited Warranty (Cabinets & Cabinet Components)
This limited warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable. The warranty period is (5) years from the date of purchase. This warranty applies to defects in material and workmanship under normal use only, and does not include damage by others (including shipping, handling, installation, improper storage, water/moisture exposure, excessive heat/cold exposure, accidents, acts of God or natural disasters etc). All costs associated with removal/replacement of components/disposal are not included.
Cabinets and millwork purchased through SnapKit are only designed for interior, residential applications within Canada and should not be used in a non-climate controlled environment. Use/storage of our product in exterior, commercial, institutional applications voids all warranty.
This warranty does not cover minor issues that can be reasonably addressed by the customer on site including, but not limited to, cleaning glue residue, minor cabinet alignment, minor chips in adjustable shelf holes and door/drawer adjustment.
In the event that the defective cabinet components are obsolete or have been discontinued, SnapKit Cabinets reserves the right to replace the defective components with a current offering. No guarantee of interchangeability is offered.
What Qualifies as a Defect?
To be considered for warranty replacement, components must have blemishes, scratches and/or dents that expose the core of the material (ie MDF, Particle board or Plywood) on the cabinet components within the following criteria:
Cabinet Panels/Door/Drawer Fronts
-
Door Face: defects larger than ⅛” in diameter or length
-
Door Back: defects larger than ¼” in diameter or length
-
Edges: When applying the edgetape there may be a pronounced seam where the edgebanding and the face of the door meet. This seam may be discoloured, sharp, or have irregular pitting and possible chipped edges. Only defects that expose the core (MDF or Particle Board) of the door will be covered under warranty.
Visible Cabinet Components (Cabinet Interiors)
-
Cabinet interior: defects larger than 1/2” in diameter or length
-
Drawer interior: defects larger than 1/2” in diameter or length
-
Note: When using plywood and/or other natural finishes, traits such as; discolouration, pitting, scratches under finish, streaking, over sanding, finish build-up, etc, may occur and are not covered under warranty for replacement.
Non-visible Cabinet Components
-
Including but not limited to: Backs/Sub Front/Bottoms of drawers, exterior of the cabinet that is covered by panels, countertop etc. i.e. all those components which would not be seen in a typical installation. No defect of any size will qualify for warranty/replacement. It is the dealer’s responsibility to make their customer aware of this warranty policy.
Warping/Twisting
As seasons change, the relative temperature and humidity of your cabinetry will vary. Consequently, warping may occur. To test for warping/twisting, carefully place the face of the door on a completely flat surface. If any corner of the door is more than 3/16” (5mm) off the surface, the door (excluding the size exceptions below) qualifies for warranty replacement.
In addition, please note that:
-
Doors and panels over 24” wide and/or over 60” tall are not warranted for warping, bowing, twisting, or damage in shipping.
-
Drawer fronts over 36” in width are not warranted for warping, bowing, twisting, or damage in shipping.
Edgebanding and Laminated Products
Occasionally there may be glue residue or a minor imperfection in the PVC edge banding. These imperfections are not considered defects and are not covered under this warranty.
When laminate is applied, a slight shadow line of the laminate will be visible. This is caused by the polishing of the phenolic layer of the material and is unavoidable. This is not considered a defect and is not covered under this warranty.
